Remember your first day at school, when you turned up all enthusiastic but were a little bit worried if you’d make any friends, if you’d be able to do the work that the teacher set, if you would be able to find out where you needed to be…..?

All of these thoughts running through your head, and when you finally turned up you were absolutely fine and all your worries forgotten.

When you join us, we understand that you will have those same thoughts – will everyone be looking at me, will the instructor shout at me if I can’t do it, what happens if my body emits strange noises (as all body’s do!)…and the answer is always the same, NO!

You will wonder why you were worried, everyone is friendly, the venues are stunning (no cold, old dusty church halls for us) and the support you will receive is amazing.  You will be joining a bunch of inspirational, supportive and motivational ‘wellness warriors’ – you will forget that you’re not meant to be enjoying exercise!

We have classes all over County Durham not just at our peaceful studio in Langley Park, we also have classes in Willington, Stanely Crook and Ramside Spa.

You really should be doing Pilates, no really!  And not just any old Pilates, you really need to be doing Organic Pilates!  Not only do we have all the usual stuff highly qualified instructors, beautiful locations, friendly and supportive groups, we have a massive dose of FUN.  

Our small classes will transform your thoughts about how your body should and could be moving, you will be taught how not to wet yourself when you laugh, you will be shown how to stand properly, you find out how to become aware of your body in space and most importantly you will begin to understand and respect your body for the amazing thing it is.

Pilates classes are very physical, they’re not just a gentle stretching class – you will feel your muscles working and you will ache the next day!  And no, before you ask, the classes are not just full of women, there’s men there too!

Post-Natal Pilates

Ok once you’ve got over the shock that you actually have to look after a small human, and they depend upon you for EVERYTHING.  You begin to look at the havoc that the aforementioned small human has wreaked upon your body. Your once tight toned abdominals now look like an over kneaded bread dough, and what’s that happening when you cough or sneeze??  That awful feeling that when you stand up, parts of your body that were once tucked safely inside, don’t feel that secure anymore.

Well, I have been there and I know exactly what it’s like.

So I have designed a 6-week course especially for the Post-Natal period.  We will focus upon all the areas that have been stretched and strained during pregnancy and childbirth, and get you back to feeling like your normal self (I can’t promise the pre-pregnancy self, but certainly heading in the right direction).

These are the area’s we will cover;

*Pelvic Floor

*Pelvic Stability – particularly important if you have suffered from SPD during pregnancy

*Shoulder Stability – you now have to have enough strength to lift an ever growing baby

As well as a bit of cardio work to burn off some extra layers of fat.  You will also have your tummy checked to ensure that your tummy muscles are knitting back together correctly (diastasis) and you will be given appropriate corrective exercises.

This course has been EXTREMELY effective for all the ladies who have attended, many of them still train with me today and are now ninja mama’s who are not afraid of the big bad trampoline!

This is Madonna’s favourite exercise program, and although she is 103 years old (well approximately) how AMAZING does her body look?  As you would expect from a fabulous age and gravity defying workout – it’s not easy but it’s worth it, if you want your bodyshape to be changed this is the workout for you.  Personally my own body shape changed completely from Barre (where did I get that booty from), and I have seen it transform the shape of many of my clients.

Do you want a proper workout that will leave you out of breath, sweating and wanting to kill the instructor?  Taking inspiration from Pilates, Yoga and Dance training – you will feel your muscles not only burning but screaming!

Holistic Lifestyle Coaching

Ever want to spontaneously hug your instructor after a 1-2-1  session? No?  It happens all the time in our sessions, our 1-2-1’s will help you deal with whatever it is you need help with, whether it’s a specific condition that’s preventing you joining a class, an event that you’re in training for or you just want to build up confidence to enable you to join a regular class – then get in touch. The Holistic Lifestyle Coaching looks at EVERY aspect of your being, whether it be a musculoskeletal issue, nutrition issue or emotional issue that may be holding you back and making your body in pain. 

In our 1-2-1 sessions we can really set about getting your goals and then making a plan to get you there – whether it be to rehabilitate an injury, to lose weight or to train for an event. Diet plans and training plans can be written as part of this service.

You may also want to bring a friend and train together.

We believe that you are what you eat, once you become a client of ‘Organic Pilates’ you will learn how and what to eat to support your body and help it with its everyday functions.  It’s the difference between asking nicely to do something and forcing it – your body will respond much quicker when its asked nicely! You will be surprised how quickly your body will respond to correct movement and supporting nutrition.

Diet plans are available and more are currently in the pipeline, so watch this space.
